Our curriculum is aligned with the state learning standards for children ages 18 months through age 5. We use play, investigation, exploration and hands-on learning to help students meet those learning goals. That means your kiddo will rarely be sitting, and they'll almost never be given worksheets. Play based learning is powerful, appropriate and researched based.
Teacher Ashley Toddler/Preschool
Hi all! My name is Ashley Wells and I am the Toddler/Preschool teacher at Mead Co-op. I grew up here in Spokane and went to Mead High School. I attended SFCC for early childhood education. I have a family of 5, three amazing kids plus dog and two cats. I loved experiencing Co-op with my children so much I never left! When not at school, our family enjoys being at the lake, spending time with family, and playing sports! I am thankful for the wonderful kids, parents and families that bring smiles, hugs and joy to my classroom each and every year!
Teacher Julie Pre-K
Hello! My name is Julianne Anderson and I am the Pre-K teacher at Mead Co-op. I was born in West Virginia, raised in Tri-Cities, and now call North Spokane home. I have a family of 5, three amazing kids plus two dogs. My husband and I met at EWU. Our family enjoys playing board games together, rock hunting on walks, taking road trips, snuggling in for movie nights, and barbecuing in our backyard year-round. I am excited to be a part of the Mead Co-op preschool program because we get to learn through play, work together to build confidence and independence in little learners, and partner with parents to meet each child’s individual needs.
